Every surface has its two sides, and it is nearly impossible to achieve without losing anything at all. Therefore, even technology has some drawbacks amongst which some have gained serious levels.
The most controversial technological drawback is the the technology of the inventions of the arms and ammunitions. From the very first primitive arrows to the latest atomic bomb, all are a result of technological inventions. These products have not only caused widespread massacre and loss of innocent lives but also life long tragedies such as the atomic bomb blasts in Hiroshima and Nagasaki. Man has therefore invented a destruction solution for himself.
The technology of internet has no doubt been the most breakthrough and useful achievements of the modern times. It also shares some of the most serious drawbacks for all groups of ages. Internet gives open access to anything and everything over the world, the most controversial topic of issue is the pornographic content over the internet. Watching porn over the internet has been the common activity of the teenagers these days, but in fact it is not only a psychological hazard to the young brains but also for mature people of any age group at all.
Technology has lead to the inventions of huge industries with massive machines which are of extreme importance for the manufacturing purposes. It has a serious environmental issue associated with it and that is the pollution due to the waste products of the industry. Environmental problems are also caused by the constant pollution from the airplanes, and other vehicles in the open air, which also harmful for individual health.
If we were to weigh out the drawbacks and benefits of technology, the drawbacks though would not be very low yet the importance of technology is far more strong and influential for the world and its people. |
