The recent widespread technological development and promotion has also lead to some serious concerns over its influence on the environment which is gradually increasing and getting worse.
The modern processes in achieving the technological standards produce the unwanted by-products which are mostly released inefficiently into the environment, creating interruptions in the natural balance. The pollution is basically caused by the smoke produced by the huge industries and the vehicles over the sky and on road. Some waste products are also thrown into the seas and rivers, destroying the marine life and its ecosystem. The soul reason behind it is that some companies are only established for their personal economic growth and the basic environmental care is not taken into consideration.
Technology also involves the heavy use of the resources of the world, such as the petroleum, coal and ores, these non-renewable resources are gradually depleting. There are also some long term effects which can be the major challenge of the globe to control if the action is not taken from the very present day. One such issue is the global warming which is the immediate consequence of the technological developments of the modern world, together with deforestations and natural habitat destructions, all of them eventually leading to natural disasters, where man is the victim himself.
There is also the current issue of the toxic and radioactive waste substances, which are inefficiently disposed off in the environment result in the incorporation of the toxic products in the food chain, and thus finally fatal to the humans.
In the curiosity to explore more, and make the lives more convenient by the technological advancements the humans are in fact poisoning themselves with such inefficient and unchecked systems of technological processes. |
