Role of technology in discovering the natural resources

The search and exploration of the natural resources has always been the key concern of the individuals living in any era of life. With the growth of the technology in this modern era, the extraction of the natural resources has been a very but a complex task.

The invention of the huge machineries with the advanced technologies has lead to the thinking of creating special extraction tools for the natural resources. Thus came in to being the massive exploration machineries, like the oil rigs and huge roller blades, to dig and extract the resources beneficial for mankind.

Technology has also brought about a detailed research and studies of the natural resources humans are desperate to take control, for their well being. This has lead to the understanding of the several important properties of the natural resources. Thus it has been very easy to deduce from the properties and nature of the natural resources the types of areas, in terms of geography, climate and other environmental conditions that will be most suitable for that particular resource. Overall, technology has localized the extensive search for the resources favorable to us so as to making the processes even easier and less time consuming.

The process of the natural resource discovery has been made much easier after the nuclear technology. Its radioactive abilities have lead to the use of certain elements, which can be used as sensors well above the ground without getting into the complex processes of digging the earth. These sensors can detect the presence of natural resources underground and also give an estimate of its distance. One such procedure is to use neutron or gamma-ray source together with a radiation detector which are lowered into boreholes so as to determine the properties of the surrounding areas, giving the hints of the presence of the natural resources.
